"cooking course" (Bk)

There are many cooking schools in Thailand and in Bangkok, but I think two of them stand out - one is called "Mai Kaidee" (2 branches - also in Chang Mai) and the other "Chef Leez" (next to Mai Kaidee in Samson Road). I got the first lesson by “Mai Kaidee” because it was 300 Baht cheaper at the time then the other one. In addition to a "speed course", Mai Kaidee also offers courses for singles and afternoon sessions.

  • Time: 09:00 - 13:00; 
  • Included: A menu book in which you can co-write and drink water; 
  • What do you learn: in a quiet AC environment we learned to cook quickly with 1 teacher and 4 students (total) on our own cooking-facility. All ingredients are pre-cut by other people and you will make all your dishes yourself and taste them yourself; 
  • Cost: 1500 Baht; 
  • EXTRA: a song and a dance.

tips:

  • Skip breakfast (and lunch) and come to the classroom with an empty stomach; 
  • You can bring a doggy bag with your own things for left-overs; 
  • You can still buy a cookbook of "Mai Kaidee" (in addition to all kinds of ingredients ") for 500 Baht.
